Aya was meowing at my bedroom door at 6:30am. After two years of shutting them out of the bedroom, you'd think they'd get a bit of a hint. She sounds like a sad emo princess lamenting about something puerile in her online journal. Imagine the sound that would make if it were a cat. At your door. At 6:30 in the morning. So that's how I spent my morning. Eventually, I was awake enough to get out of bed, yell at rabble that had gathered at my door, then go downstairs to feed them.
I'm going to have to deal with this for a while, because after they're done, I'm going to take away their food instead of leaving it out for them all day. I should say, leaving it out for Niko all day. Niko is the one that eats it all when the others are done. Niko is probably about 15lbs. He's a humungous cat, and I'm going to help him lose weight. That requires for me to be a little bit more vigilant, and it's a little difficult when I'm away most of the day.
It's really nice in bed right now. I decided to turn the computer on and write a bit hoping some stimuli would help me get out of bed easier. But my duvet is sooooo nice and I'm coming down off of such a wonderful weekend. Oh lordy help me when I actually have to start getting out of bed at 6 to run. I'm not sure I'm going to survive the year already.
