I've got the project bug going on. I just brought my laptop to bed with me, trying to think of something new to do. I just remembered though that I dislike using the touchpad. It doesn't feel as intuitive as a mouse does. It's interesting, the things one becomes used to.

I just finished uploading and installing a custom PHPBB forum template for my guild's website. Customizing forums are a pain in the ass. The worse part is dealing with all the little forum icons and buttons. And of course, being an artist, you get stuck on the design along the way. I'm not sure I'm 100% happy with the forum, but I figure anything is better than PhPBB's default white template.

Now, I want to integrate LJ into my website. I've had a blog on my personal site that was seperate from my LJ for the longest time. I recently broke it trying to update the software. I'm figuring I might as well use LJ on my site now, as it seems fairly easy enough to just plug it in seamlessly. So now I'm thinking of designs for it. I really don't want to redesign my entire site, I just don't have the time for it right now, but the idea of doing something with my weblog gets me going.

It's late and i need to get some sleep. I have a lot of things to do at work tomorrow and i need to be my best.

    Mac Envy

The boy's computer had just recently crapped out on him, which really sucked for him because he needed it for work and games. As well, he just got a new job in Toronto and is prepping up for all the expenses required for the move. With the new job, and moving, stressing out about a busted computer was the last thing he needed. Plug and play was an increasingly desirable option.

He's been looking at getting a macbook for a while. So last night, he picked me up from work, we drove to the closest Apple store in Etobicoke… roughly an hour's drive away. And this is the loot he came away with.

It's really, really nice. Of course, I like the idea of shiny new things, especially things that can play WoW on a crisp 1680×1050 screen resolution at a steady fps with all the settings turned up. So i do admit, i've got a bit of the envy thing.

However I do console myself that my HP Pavilion zd8000 monster is still a fabulous machine, reviewed great for what it was when I purchased it early this year. And I discovered that it actually does run WoW beautifully with the screen res and other graphic options tweaked up. And I do admit, I still prefer the over all design of my HP notebook.. i like the idea of having a separate number pad. No, the keyboard doesn't light up, but neither do I need it to. I wish it wasn't so heavy, but I can live with it for a while. And above all, it's not a Mac. :)

I'm Mac curious, but I doubt I'd ever use one.

It's also hard to be elite with an HP no matter how nice my notebook is. :)

Another lovely grey day… but at least my weekend was relaxing and restful. We did our usual cleaning, and playing, and even got to check out a cool new Thai restaurant in town. :)

I think i should go get lunch now, but i have no idea what to eat. I'm not sure if I'm in the mood for the 'defaults'.

I was up early this morning and yesterday as well. I managed to have breakfast and bike in to work.

Damn. This LJ post is so boring, i don't know why I bother. I should just start making shit up. :p
