My Art in 2016

These are my works of this year.  I can probably go over each of these and explain why I like them, and what I’ve learned from working on them, but I still have a bunch of chores to do before ringing in the new year, so I’ll let them speak for themselves.

I wasn’t as prolific as I’d like to have been in 2016, but I feel like I’m getting a better sense of my technique, and my limits.  My biggest enemy is time… I never feel I have enough to just do everything that I want to do, but I’ve also not given myself a good amount to work on the important things.

My biggest distraction has been either World of Warcraft or the Sims 4, and hopefully in the future I can get better at disciplining myself.  In the next year, my next big thing will be projects.  I have a few ideas, and I’ll be posting some of them early in the new year.

My favourite thing to look at on social media are people posting past work and showing off their progress.  I’d like to get to that level, and I realize that like anything, I have to work and study every day.

2017 will be more about progress, and it will also be more about presentation and completion.  There will still be 2 hour sketches, and there will also be more polished work too.  I am looking forward to it.
