I’ve been working with digital art for so long, I sometimes forget that it’s not quite tangible, not in the same way pencil lines on paper is. I make a mistake, I click “undo” a few times, and it’s like the mistakes have never happened at all. This makes me reckless and clumsy. I also can experiment more, take more risks and push my lines. I can work over the same drawing over and over again.
Some more Sims fan art, featuring Johnny Smith, Ophelia Nigmos and Ripp Grunt.
This is the first in an Elegant Gothic Lolita styled series inspired by women in history who’ve gained some level of fame, or infamy, depending on who their story is told by.
I enjoy watching The Murdoch Mysteries (“The Artful Detective” to the Yanks). It’s not gritty or realistic or overly dramatic, but it’s well-done, the characters are interesting and it’s entertaining over all. Much of the appeal for me is also that it’s set in Victorian/Edwardian era Toronto.
Fast sketch for a Sunday morning. By the way, I have a tumblr that I feel like I should be using a little better.
