Happy Spring

First thing's first: the boyfriend managed to score me a Wii. This is no easy feat, as he was in the process of procuring one for himself first when he managed to find a friend in that same Wii line-up who was willing to buy a 2nd Wii for him so that he could give it to me. These are one of the many reasons why I love him.

I quickly figured out that I would be enjoying my new Wii a whole lot. I still have to pick up a couple of games I want… namely Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but at the moment, I've been too caught up with getting my house in order, which is one of the reasons I haven't been posting.

Spring is here, and my daffodils, tulips and hyacinths have been coming up, which makes me excited because as much as I like flowers and pretty gardens, I'm a shitty gardener. So anything that grows in my embarassment of a yard is always a happy thing. Except for weeds and invasive bamboo.

The bathroom fixups have been completed, it took about a week or so to get it all retiled. I'm really happy with the results, and all that's left to do is for me to paint it (the colour is called “Cumberland Fog”… oooh, i can be poetic and moody while pooping!), install crown moulding, hang up the shower curtains and clean it up. I've decided, as I was priming the walls last night, that I'm sick of painting. But I have a lot more painting to do unfortunately. My bedroom needs to get painted now that my dad and sister rebuilt the closet, and while we're at it, I might as well paint the foyer and the upstairs hallway.

That's about it. But at least the sun is out and I can open windows again. It's also nice to be able to take the bike out regularly now. Riding's getting easier the more I do it, and it's always fun.
