Anne of Green Gables

‘Anne of Green Gables’ by L.M. Montgomery was one of my favourite books growing up.  She is unquestionably a Canadian icon, which is why I wanted to draw her to celebrate Canada’s 150th.

I grew up on the books, and the made for TV movies in the 80s starring Megan Follows as Anne, so this drawing was a little more influenced more by her rather than the current version starring Amybeth McNulty (and I really need to sit down and watch it soon!).
