This is the first in an Elegant Gothic Lolita styled series inspired by women in history who’ve gained some level of fame, or infamy, depending on who their story is told by.
“Grace” is inspired by Grace O’Malley, an Irish chieftain who lived during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. She owned a large shipping fleet and became infamous for extracting “taxes” from English ships that traveled through her waters, or in simple terms, piracy. Most of her history is told through her enemies’ records of her activities, though the patriarchal society she lived through would rather that she was forgotten.
